"The Avengers" are assembling in New Mexico and other shooting locations across the country as we speak, and you're going to get your first look at Marvel's biggest superhero endeavor to date in just a few days. Or, if you know where to look, you can get that sneak peek… well, right around now, actually.
An official first look at "The Avengers" is headed your way when "Captain America: The First Avenger" slings its shield into theaters this weekend, but that footage from the film has already found its way online. You won't get any links from us, though we're sure you won't have to search hard to find what it is you're looking for. (Still, with "Cap" just a few short days from release, don't you think you can wait a little while for the real thing?)
But if you're dying to know what you'll see in the "Avengers" teaser, join us after the jump for a few small spoilers.
Marvel Studios continues its fine tradition of awesome post-credits scenes with "Captain America," but rather than showing a secret scene, they're showing a secret teaser that revolves around—you guessed it—Joss Whedon's upcoming "Avengers." Earth's Mightiest Heroes are on full (albeit quick) display in the teaser, offering first looks at interactions between Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Thor and more, and promising that there's "some assembly required" next summer. Plus, Hawkeye. There is that.
It's hard to judge "The Avengers" based on the low-quality teaser that's floating around in the darker corners of the web. But even poor picture quality can't take away from the awesomeness of seeing Marvel's big three heroes together at last. More to come, we're sure.
