The Truffle Shuffling U.S. women's soccer fan in the stands for the World Cup final yesterday must have caught Christos Gage's eye because he tweeted about his own Shuffle frustrations this morning. The international sports event provided a brief distraction from the Comic-Con craziness and Harry Potter sadness that was otherwise flooding our feed.
Speaking of Harry Potter, Chip Zdarsky celebrated the series' end. Alejandro Arbona didn't necessarily revel in schadenfreude, but he did question the film's depiction of bankers. Find out if you agree with him after the jump. There's a link to some awesome Jim Lee Batman artwork and sympathy for Jean Grey's evil clone there as well.
I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is the Twitter Report for July 18, 2011.
@zdarsky You seriously telling me that Harry Potter wore those f---ing round framed glasses straight into adulthood? What a nerd. I'm glad he's dead.
-Chip Zdarsky, Writer/Artist ("Prison Funnies," "Monster Cops")
@Alejandrobot Harry Potter 7.2 isn't racist, but bankers are a single race of diminutive, greedy, hook-nosed, claw-fingered, fanged goblins. #callback
-Alejandro Arbona, Editor ("Thor," "The Immortal Iron Fist")
@Christosgage Try as I might, I cannot perfect the Truffle Shuffle. And it's not for lack of fat. I just can't reproduce the noise.
-Christos Gage, Writer ("Union Jack," "Absolution")
@beckycloonan I am a Madelyne Pryor sympathizer.
-Becky Cloonan, Writer/Artist ("East Coast Rising," "American Virgin")
@mrmarkmillar Well, the studio get the 1st draft of Supercrooks today from me and Nacho @vigalondo. If I had to sum up in 1 word it would be "awesome"
-Mark Millar, Writer ("Kick-Ass," "Wanted")
@ryanqnorth I'm giving a talk at Blizzard HQ in California tomorrow. You should come! Unless you don't work there in which case just imagine it was rad
-Ryan North, Writer/Artist ("Dinosaur Comics")
@simonpegg I'd love to make a sequel to Paul. Nick & I had a funny idea but even if we started writing it 2day. With shoot and post it'd be 3 yrs min.
-Simon Pegg, Actor ("Star Trek," "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn")
@Rob_guillory Last day for SDCC prep. Picture me with hands raised palms up, and shrugging slightly. And also, TEARS.
-Rob Guillory, Artist ("Chew")
