Walking DeadIf, like us, you were glued to the tube watching CM Punk’s epic win over John Cena last night at WWE’s Money in the Bank, missing "Breaking Bad," you missed out on more than just Walt and Jesse’s increasingly bleak and violent antics. During the fourth season premiere of the acclaimed AMC show, the network also showed off a teaser for the upcoming second season of "The Walking Dead."

Based on the wildly popular Image comic book by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard, "The Walking Dead" is set in the wake of a zombie apocalypse, focusing on the struggles of a group of determined human survivors. If you don’t know at least that much and you’re reading Splash Page, you’re probably the only one.

Check out the teaser past the jump to get an early glimpse of all the tense zombie-killing action!

FROM MTV NEWS: Although most of our Marvel Comics-related movie excitement these days is pegged to the impending release of "Captain America: The First Avenger," we can't help but already get excited for next year's highly anticipated, superhero-filled "The Avengers."

When MTV News caught up with Cap himself, Chris Evans, during our "MTV First: Captain America" interview Thursday, we asked for his thoughts on working with fan-favorite "Avengers" director Joss Whedon.

"He's unbelievable," Evans said. "He's so clever. He lives in the world of comic books, so he has in his head an amazing story already mapped out."

Although the big screen version of Katsuhiro Otomo's celebrated manga (and subsequent animated adaptation) "Akira" hit a road block recently with the departure of "Book of Eli" director Albert Hughes back in May, Warner Brothers has officially found a new man to helm the pic, "Unknown" director Jaume Collet-Serra.

According to Variety, the Spanish director, who also brought us "Orphan," will take over the live-action project with a lower revised budget of $90 million.

Now that we have a director, again, it's time to focus on casting the key lead roles of Kaneda and Tetsuo. At last count there were a slew of name actors said to be on "short lists" for the roles.

For the role of Kaneda, leader of motorcycle gang The Capsules, Keanu Reeves was the latest name to be added to a list that includes actors Garrett Hedlund, Michael Fassbender, Chris Pine, Justin Timberlake and Joaquin Phoenix.

For Kaneda’s troubled best friend Tetsuo, whose untapped psychic power provides the story’s central conflict, the studio reportedly wants Robert Pattinson, Andrew Garfield or James McAvoy.

Pattinson told MTV News recently that he is definitely game for the role.

"I love the movie," he said. "But, I mean, I don’t know. I’ve seen the same thing as anybody else has, really."

Pattinson went on to say that he hasn't been involved with any forward movement on an "Akira" film just yet, although he does like its style.

The film’s script has received positive feedback since "Harry Potter" writer Steve Kloves took a pass for polishing back in November.

What do you think of Collet-Serra in the director's chair? Tell us in the comments or on Twitter!

Harry PotterIf you caught a midnight screening of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" last night, you were not alone. Stephen Colbert tweeted about his mad rush to make it in time, though Skottie Young did not think he was young enough to stick out.

In the meantime, everyone's had San Diego Comic-Con on their brains for next week. Jim Lee's still rolling out his "Justice League" pencils in anticipation of the show. Scope 'em out after the jump. His art, Paul Cornell's thoughts on the remake of "The Thing" and an IDW dream project await you down below.

Hey Spidey fans! For those looking for more Andrew Garfield-as-Spider-Man goodness, Entertainment Weekly has got you covered. In addition to the fancy cover photo that hit the Interwebs yesterday, there is now a gallery posted at EW.com full of 15 fresh new images.

The bulk of new pics are Peter Parker and Spider-Man centric. There are full-length shots of the updated Spidey costume which, to me, looks like it might have the same texture as a basketball, a close-up of the new webslingers, various shots of Garfield in action poses, using his newly-acquired powers to hang upside down/attach to the roof of a subway car, jump over a tall basketball player, holding the school bully up against a locker, etc.

Something tells me you know this already, but in case you don't, let's make it perfectly clear: being Captain America is not easy. Even harder is becoming Captain America.

Just ask Chris Evans, the subject of our recent MTV First: Captain America interview, who told us that his transformation from normal-sized actor into overly-muscled superhero was a grueling process that required at least one British fitness instructor and two hours a day for four full months worth of exercise.

Well isn't this a fun week for fans of "The Walking Dead"?

First, earlier this week AMC announced that they will air a special sneak peek of season two during this Sunday's season premiere of their acclaimed and award-winning show "Breaking Bad." Now comes a second behind-the-scenes video featuring special effects make-up designer, Greg Nicotero, wherein he talks about creating that big-eyed zombie we've seen in teasers for the new season.

Nicotero explains in the video that the striking, long haired she-zombie basically came to be by accident.

With Chris Evans starring as Steve Rogers, it's hard to imagine any other actor putting his face to "The First Avenger." Still, it's worth recognizing that once upon a time, the eventual Captain America wasn't going to put on the red, white and blue, despite the direct expression of interest from Marvel Studios.

During MTV First: Captain America, Evans admitted that Marvel reached out to his camp to get the actor to audition — something that he never gave into, even if he eventually won the role.

Captain America is many things: a soldier, a hero, a… gerbil? That's Colonel Chester Phillips' assessment of Steve Rogers, at least.

In this exclusive clip from "Captain America: The First Avenger," which we debuted tonight during MTV First: Captain America, you're invited to see the heroic origins of the skinny weakling that eventually became one of the world's finest superheroes, a status he didn't achieve through brain or brawn; he achieved it through pure guts.
