"I’m like living on kale and dust for training,” Hathaway told Chelsea Lately on her talk show. “The catsuit’s unforgiving, man."
Apparently, in addition to being a pain to look good in the catsuit, it's also a pain to get into the catsuit. Hathaway said it takes three people to get her into the suit, and a lot of mental preparation. It was a lot of effort to act in it over the six month shoot, but in the end Hathaway said it was worth it.
Hathaway said she ended up really liking her workouts that she would do to keep in shape for the role, despite how much she previously said she didn't like exercising. That doesn't make the actual physical part of the work out any easier, though, especially when going to gyms that are populated with other Hollywood stars.
"I don't think I'd ever really gotten over the hump. I was so weak, so I hated everything. It was so painful, I looked like an idiot," she said. "I was at the gym working out next to a pregnant Jessica Alba, who could do more pushups than I could."
When MTV last talked to Hathaway about the catsuit, the actress promised there was a lot more to it than met the eye in the photo that was released of her.
“What I am happy to say is: If you didn’t like the photo…you only see about a tenth of what that suit can do,” she assured us. “And if you did like the photo, you have excellent taste.”
