If you thought Gotham City had rounded up all of its residents, think again.
The Caped Crusader's great city is getting infused with a little bit of Miami heat, as Deadline reports that "CSI: Miami" co-star Adam Rodriguez has signed on to join the cast of Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises." There's no word on exactly who Rodriguez is playing, but his role is considered to be a small one.
Even putting the size of his part aside, one imagines that Rodriguez won't be too important to the story of Nolan's third and final Batman movie. The crew is very deep into production now, and with an already bountiful cast at his disposal, I doubt Nolan would wait this long to fill out a pivotal role… then again, the secrecy of Rodriguez's character could suggest otherwise.
In other "Dark Knight Rises" news, there's an interesting report courtesy of Total Film's print edition that actress Juno Temple, previously cast in the movie, is actually playing Holly Robinson, a young prostitute living with Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) in the "Batman: Year One" comic book. That's the suggestion from Total Film themselves, though Temple said that she "can't talk about that."
"But I think it’s going to be [frick]ing unbelievable," she added, according to Comic Book Resources. "[Christopher Nolan] is awesome! There’s something really gentlemanly about him. He’s got an insane, incredible vision going on. Just getting the opportunity to work with him is awesome.”
