"The Avengers" skipped out on Comic-Con in San Diego over the summer, but they were out in full force at the D23 Expo last month, and they'll assemble once again for New York Comic Con in October.

The official NYCC website has updated its panel listings to include an official presence for "Marvel's The Avengers," a title I'll never get used to typing out. Marvel Studios will unveil the panel on Saturday, October 15 at 6:30 PM in the IGN Theater of the Jacob Javits Center-based convention, with brand new footage and surprise appearances from unannounced guests promised as part of the package.

FROM MTV GEEK: The original 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and Elias Koteas notwithstanding, Casey Jones: The Movie by Polaris Banks is probably the most spot-on film treatment of the hockey-masked avenger you will ever find. With superior acting, cinematography, and direction, it is more than just another fan film -- but rather something more akin to TMNT as done by Martin Scorsese.

Banks describes his rationale for putting so much time and effort into Casey Jones: The Movie as follows: he "felt obligated to make the movie simply because he knew that nobody else would." In addition to wearing many hats on the production, including director, writer, and editor, he also plays ninja turtle Donatello -- yep, that's right, the turtles themselves are also in the film, as well as April O'Neil in her yellow jumpsuit. The look of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael are closer to the original movies than the later ones, but are surprisingly good -- and complete with animatronics to bring their facial expressions to life.

Man of SteelUp, up and away goes Superman, as the big blue boy scout and his companions are packing their bags for the great white north of Canada and, potentially, the Fortress of Solitude.

Director Zack Snyder is taking his latest movie, "Man of Steel," to Vancouver for its next phase of shooting. The new location is a familiar one for Snyder, who previously shot "Watchmen" and "Sucker Punch" in the Vancouver area. Now, the Canadian city is about to fly high with Superman — or "Autumn Frost," rather, which CTV News believes to be a code name for "Man of Steel."

According to the outlet, shooting will take place through January in various Vancouver locations including the district municipality of Ucluelet, which will reportedly "play the role of a small, Alaskan fishing village." Which begs the question… what is Clark Kent doing in an Alaskan fishing village?

Batman has a great track record of beating down the bad guys, especially when it comes to destroying his villains' vehicles. Remember all the way back in "Batman Begins" when Bruce crushed Ra's al Ghul and his speeding train of vaporizing doom? Or the time in "The Dark Knight" when our hero used his Tumbler-ejected Batpod to manhandle the Joker and his crew of massive trucks?

Check out our Batwing photo gallery!

Given those outings, it shouldn't be too surprising to hear that when Bats returns for "The Dark Knight Rises," he will once again be behind the wheel for some intense vehicular mayhem. Get more details past the jump, but be warned: spoilers lie ahead!

The WolverineHe's the best there is at what he does — and what he does isn't very nice, nor is it fast.

Hugh Jackman has been working on getting back into the adamantium-clawed mutant's yellow spandex for a couple of years now, and almost a full year after now-departed director Darren Aronofsky was first announced for the project, "The Wolverine" remains stuck in the mud.

But the fast-healing Marvel Comics icon won't stay still for long, not if Jackman has his way. In an interview with Leicester Square TV (via Comic Book Movie) at the "Real Steel" premiere in New York City, Jackman reaffirmed his investment in the character of Wolverine, insisting that a sequel is still very much in the works.

Much ado has been made over "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn," the upcoming motion capture animated adventure from Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson, co-written by Edgar Wright ("Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World"), Steven Moffat ("Doctor Who"), and Joe Cornish ("Ant-Man") and stars Daniel Craig, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis and Cary Elwes.

Looking at that A-list lineup, it's not surprising about all the ado, right? Today we have more to salivate over in the form of a slew of new photos that appeared online, making it one of our first glimpses at new material since the film's presence at Comic-Con this summer.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt could tell you all about "The Dark Knight Rises," but then he'd have to kill you.

Don't worry, your life isn't really in danger — because, quite frankly, good old JGL is keeping his lips sealed on all things "Dark Knight." The actor, already a veteran of Christopher Nolan films, is starring in the director's final Batman movie as a Gotham City police detective named John Blake. But just like there's controversy surrounding Marion Cotillard — is she really playing Wayne Enterprises board member Miranda Tate, or is it just a cover for another, significantly more shadowy character? — some have wondered whether or not Gordon-Levitt is actually playing a different secret role in the film.

Is he The Riddler? Is he Robin? The rumor mill never ceases to turn, and sadly, JGL isn't going to stop it from spinning anytime soon.

The Walking Dead"The Walking Dead" crawls back onto television in just a few short weeks with all of the brains, blood and brutality you've come to expect from the AMC zombie series, but before the new season premieres, you can catch a glimpse at what's in store in a brand new promo video.

Aired during last night's off-the-charts episode of "Breaking Bad," the new "Walking Dead" TV spot (courtesy of Bloody Disgusting) highlights the inner conflict at the core of Rick Grimes and his group of survivors. Suffice it to say, not everybody is getting along, and by the look of things, not everybody is sticking together.

FROM MTV MULTIPLAYER: "Batman Arkham City" is only about a month away, but thankfully, Rocksteady are still dishing out new features and villains. The game's rogue gallery is getting pretty deep, with the developer seemingly trying to cram as many iconic Batman villains into the game as possible. Today, we find out details on a couple of new gadgets, plus we're introduced to the latest foe in the title, Deadshot.

GTTV's Geoff Keighley stopped by Rockstar's London studio to check out what new information the developer was willing to part with, and the result is yet another Gotham bad guy, not to mention two all-new gadgets to fill up Bat's utility belt.

When "X-Men: The Last Stand" all went down back in 2006 (yeah, we know, time flies!), James Marsden's Cyclops may have died. Well, he probably died, but we didn't fully see him die on screen, and these are the movies where nothing is real (like Santa!), so we're gonna go with a probably here.

Since we're banking on a probably and not a definite, when we had the pleasure of catching up with Mr. Marsden at the "Straw Dogs" premiere on Thursday night in New York City, he weighed in on if he'd ever consider coming back for more laser eye action in another "X-Men" flick.
