After a ton of casting news over the past few months and a stop at Fenway Park, it looks like filming for “R.I.P.D” is fully underway in Boston.

New photos were snapped on set yesterday as Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Bacon, two of the film’s stars, stood around an eye-catching Dodge Challenger.

Tom HiddlestonAs you've seen via our various previews recently, there are a bunch of reasons to get your hands on the "Thor" Blu-ray/DVD today. The set is truly packed with deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes featurettes, an "Avengers" preview, etc. Plus, for those who don't love 3D (this girl!), it's great to see the film again in glorious, bright 2D.

To celebrate today's soon-to-be bestseller, MTV News recently caught up with breakout star Tom Hiddleston to talk about his favorite scenes and those he wished had made the final cut.

"I have a number of favorite scenes. Probably my favorite scene of all, just because it was a great day at work and will go down into my top ten days of work in my whole acting life, was the scene with [Anthony] Hopkins in the vault, when I find out that I’m Laufey’s son," Hiddleston revealed. "Up until that point we’d shot only action."

Rhys IfansWe've known for a while that Spider-Man is fighting the Lizard in his next big-screen battle, but we still don't know what the reptilian menace will look like. Now, courtesy of Rhys Ifans, we have a clearer picture… and it looks a lot like Ifans!

In an interview with Cinema Blend, Ifans revealed that in addition to playing the ill-fated Doctor Connors, the actor also suited up with a "CGI suit" to transform himself into the Lizard on the set of "The Amazing Spider-Man."

"I did have the CGi suit for certain scenes," he said. "The Lizard is 9 feet tall. There was one day that I went on set and they had a double, a big big guy, playing me, as the Lizard. I looked at it and I went 'No.' Following that Marc [Webb, the director] let me know all the physicality, all the physicality you'll see in the Lizard is my own."

Captain AmericaCaptain America might be one of the greatest superheroes the world has ever known, but he certainly isn't perfect. Make no mistake, good old Steve Rogers is fantastically fit, an expert strategist, and he knows how to sling shields and punch Nazis in their faces better than just about anybody…

But seriously, the dude cannot fly to save his life.

We're delving somewhat into spoiler territory here — though, really, Marvel Studios already beat us to the punch with their "Avengers" teaser — so first and last warning: if you don't want to know how "Captain America: The First Avenger" ends, turn away now.

The Walking DeadAs "The Walking Dead" crawls closer to its second season premiere date, you can expect a flurry of news and interviews about the show's upcoming return from the off-season grave. Today, we've got two new updates worth biting into.

First, TV Line spoke with series creator Robert Kirkman and executive producer David Alpert about the season premiere, which promises to "cross a line, and that line is awesome."

“I think we cross some lines in this first episode," said Kirkman, who adds that we'll learn more about the "digestive system of a zombie" in the new season. “Let me be honest, it’s definitely a little more visceral than we’ve gotten in the previous season. I’m excited about coming out of the gate with that punch in the very first episode of this season, so hold on to your seats.”

Obviously there are many things to be excited about as we inch closer and closer to the release date of "The Dark Knight Rises," chief among them for me, is seeing a cast of the highest quality assembled in order to bring beloved characters, old and new, to life. And while a lot of attention is paid to the high profile roles that Batman newcomers Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy and Marion Cotillard are playing, I'm always intrigued about what Christopher Nolan's equally impressive returning cast will be up to.

Take Nestor Carbonell's Mayor Anthony Garcia, for example, who when asked recently about how much action he gets in Christopher Nolan's third and likely final "Batman" flick, said it's hard for him to say, specifically, but we'll be happy with the film regardless.

"I finished [filming] about a month ago in Pittsburgh. It was a lot of fun, it's nice to go back to Chris Nolan's world," he told MTV News at the CW Premiere Party Saturday, adding that there is a sense of finality to Nolan's third film.

Stellan SkarsgardStellan Skarsgard, who played Professor Selvig in "Thor," is one of few non superhero Marvel veterans returning for next summer's "The Avengers." But where he lacks powers of his own, Selvig is about to gain some gifts from a familiar foe.

During the post-credits sequence in "Thor," it was revealed that Selvig was now somehow connected to the trickster god Loki. Though Skarsgard remains tight lipped on exactly how Selvig's arc plays out in "The Avengers," he's revealed that his part in the film is a crucial one.

"It's not a big role but it's pivotal," the actor told Superhero Hype in a new interview, adding that he knew about his character's future while shooting the "Thor" stinger, which was directed by "Avengers" helmer Joss Whedon.

300Given the events of "300," it's not a shock to hear that King Leonidas won't be playing much of a role in the developing sequel, "300: Battle of Artemisia." But his days on the battlefield aren't entirely over, it seems.

Speaking with Movies.com, producer Bernie Goldmann revealed that "Battle of Artemisia" will focus largely on a new set of characters and actors, but there are "small parts" for Gerard Butler and Lena Headey, who starred in Zack Snyder's war epic as King Leonidas and Queen Gorgo.

But their presence would be much smaller compared to bigger appearances from new lead actors, many of whom are likely to be played by relative unknowns.

Cliff RobertsonCliff Robertson, the man who first taught Peter Parker about great power coming with great responsibility — or, more accurately, the actor who expressed such advice over the course of three previous "Spider-Man" movies — has died.

The Academy Award winning actor passed away over the weekend, just one day after his 88th birthday. He died of natural causes at Stony Brook University Medical Center on Long Island, according to a family statement.

Robertson is best known to modern audiences for playing Uncle Ben Parker in director Sam Raimi's trilogy of "Spider-Man" movies, his character routinely serving as a voice of reason to our friendly neighborhood superhero both in the mortal realm and often from beyond the grave.
