Over a month has passed since "The Walking Dead" and Frank Darabont parted ways, but according to a new report, perhaps his days with the dead aren't entirely over.
Darabont is still in discussions with AMC "to continue on with an unspecified role on the show," Deadline reports, citing inside sources. He'll reportedly retain his executive producer credit, but exactly how involved he'll be with the creative goings-on of the series remains unclear, with negotiations "in the hands of the lawyers."
For his part, series executive producer and comic book creator Robert Kirkman told Deadline that the transition from Darabont to new showrunner Glen Mazzara has gone very smoothly.

"X-Men: First Class" arrives on Blu-ray and DVD today, and to mark the occasion, producer Lauren Shuler Donner spoke with several outlets about a possible sequel as well as other X-projects in the works at Fox.
Speaking with HitFix, the longtime "X-Men" producer revealed that despite rumors to the contrary, there's no official start date on "The Wolverine" just yet — the schedule all comes down to Hugh Jackman's availability.
"I’m not sure when we’ll start. Maybe summer 2012 we’ll start shooting. It’s based on Hugh’s schedule, frankly. When he’s available, we’ll film," she said. "He’s doing ‘Les Miserables,’ and then he has to come and train for us. So it’s all dependent on him."

You think you know everything about Marion Cotillard's character in "The Dark Knight Rises"? To riff on a familiar phrase around these parts, you have no idea — maybe, that is.
MTV News caught up with the Oscar winning actress at the New York City premiere of her new movie "Contagion" last night, and we had to ask her about her work on Christopher Nolan's latest Batman movie. Some potential spoilers lie ahead, so proceed with caution…

It's Thursday, only one more day left in the week, and you know what that means: another "Dark Knight Rises" set photo to fawn over!
New shots from the Los Angeles set of Christopher Nolan's third and final Batman flick have hit the 'net, and though there's not a Bat or Cat in sight, there is a Bruce and a Selina.
Today's batch of photos focus firmly on Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway's non-costumed counter-parts, Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle respectively, as they stroll around in broad daylight.

If you thought Gotham City had rounded up all of its residents, think again.
The Caped Crusader's great city is getting infused with a little bit of Miami heat, as Deadline reports that "CSI: Miami" co-star Adam Rodriguez has signed on to join the cast of Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises." There's no word on exactly who Rodriguez is playing, but his role is considered to be a small one.

FROM MTV MOVIES: "Man of Steel" star Michael Shannon has moved from absurdity to anxiety.
When the Oscar-nominated actor was cast as General Zod back in April, he confessed he found the entire thing "ridiculous." Now that he's on set and in character, Shannon has moved on but is not exactly feeling comfortable yet.
"I'm nervous," he told MTV News while promoting his upcoming drama, "Take Shelter." "I'm still getting my foot into the pool. I just started working on it."

FROM MTV MULTIPLAYER: One of the many lovely aspects of "Batman: Arkham Asylum" was just how much there was to keep you occupied beyond the main story. The Riddler's trophies, hidden character clues and those crazy shadow puzzles made for some interesting brain teasers without requiring actual brawn. We've already learned that "Batman: Arkham City" will offer up even more of those puzzles and extras, but that's not the whole story. When you complete "Arkham City," you'll also unlock a New Game Plus mode, which Rocksteady has now detailed.

Catwoman's making a comeback in "The Dark Knight Rises," though not everybody is fully on board with Anne Hathaway's take on the classic Batman rogue just yet.
Admittedly, we've barely seen anything so far — just one official Catwoman still, some thoughts from Hathaway on the costume and some photos from the set — so it goes to show how quickly some of us have jumped to conclusions about this still developing movie.
Indeed, while most fans have learned to trust in Christopher Nolan's vision, there still seems to be a lot of pressure on "Dark Knight" newcomers like Hathaway… so it should come as little surprise that a previous Catwoman has spoken out about the difficulties of tackling such an iconic character.

If "Thor" director Kenneth Branagh has a hidden superpower, it's getting his actors to fall in love with him.
In an exclusive clip from the upcoming Blu-ray/DVD release of the summer blockbuster, Chris Hemsworth and his costars fall all over one another to fete the guy for his vision, his commitment and his relentless commitment to turn what could have been a "Masters of the Universe"-style cheesefest into a Shakespeare-infused superhero epic.

With all the talk about and obsessing over "The Amazing Spider-Man" lead actors Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, I sometimes forget how much more excited I am about the film's supporting players like Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen and Sally Field. My absolute favorite, however, is Denis Leary as Captain George Stacey.
It's not just that he looks the part, but he also possesses a certain edge and masculinity that has me more intrigued about Capt. Stacey than I thought I would be. Plus, in speaking to Starpulse about how he felt about remaking a film that is only ten years old, Leary says awesome things like this:
"Oh, I didn’t give a s--t," he told the site. "I’m not really a Spider-Man fan. I’m more of a Batman guy."
