Bane

Another day, another leak from "The Dark Knight Rises" set. After so many spy pictures of cat ears and clandestinely taped videos of Batwings, there doesn't seem like there's a whole lot that can surprise us... but a new video from the set just might answer a major question about the plot of the final Nolan Batman flick.

Warning: some possible spoilers lie ahead.

Captain America, Iron Man and Thor… the holy trinity at the core of Earth's Mightiest Heroes are anything but boring. Still, we've seen them before. We've spent hours with them already. When it comes to "The Avengers," for me, I'm far more interested in the heroes we haven't spent extensive amounts of screen time with.

Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Samuel L. Jackson's cameo-happy Nick Fury are towards the top of the list of characters I'm dying to see more of, but number one on my most anticipated list is Cobie Smulders as famously frosty S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Maria Hill, one of the new characters about to be introduced in Joss Whedon's superhero epic.

Maria Hill

Perhaps we'll see more of her when the "Avengers" trailer premieres next week, but for now, an official photo of Smulders in character will suffice. Marvel Studios have released the very first look at the "How I Met Your Mother" actress in full Maria Hill regalia, and though it's not much, it's still a sight for sore eyes.

Arkham City

Amazingly, Rocksteady Studios – developer of "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and the upcoming "Batman: Arkham City" – have shown no signs in slowing expansion of the "Arkham City" rogues gallery. So far, we know that Two-Face, Penguin, Joker, Hugo Strange, Riddler, Mr. Freeze, and most recently Deadshot are all lined up to stop Bats on October 18. Now, the team have announced that none other than crazy Jervis Tetch, a.k.a Mad Hatter, is bringing his psychedelic freakiness into the game.

The Avengers

The chances of seeing an "Avengers" trailer at New York Comic-Con next weekend have just improved dramatically, but that won't be the never-before-seen footage that's been promised to attendees… because we're going to be seeing that trailer well before NYCC rolls into town.

Marvel Studios have announced that the trailer for "Marvel's The Avengers" will be released next Tuesday (October 11). That's right, at long last, our first full look at Iron Man, Captain America and Thor fighting side by side is just days away, so let the speculation begin… what are we in store for?

SupermanIt would seem Superman is getting an early start on his Novembeard. Actor Henry Cavill was recently seen on the "Man of Steel" set sporting a beard that would make even Jack from "Lost" bristle with jealousy.

But just what could the notoriously too-clean-shaven-to-be-human (he's not after all) super hero be doing sporting such scruffy face locks?

The new pictures, courtesy of Socilalite Life, show the Man of Steel not only sporting a beard, but donning a full-fledged hobo ensemble to go with it. Not only that, but he appears to be kickin' it with a mangy street dog. Just what in the name of Krypton is going on here?

By now, you've heard the sad news: Steve Jobs, the visionary founder of Apple Inc., has died at the early age of 56. Appropriately enough, word of his passing has spread far and wide across the Web, thanks in large to technology he pioneered.

Among those commenting on Jobs' death are esteemed members of the comic book community, from "Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman, to Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada. Their remembrances, and others, are past the jump.

FROM MTV MOVIES: For those unfamiliar with the worldwide popularity of the Tintin comics, the news and hype surrounding "The Adventures of Tintin," the film adaptation out this December, could seem overblown. Yes, Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson teaming up is always going to be big news, but the teaser trailer released a few months ago left a lot of people scratching their heads, wondering what all the fuss was about.

Well, that should change with the latest trailer to hit the Web. MSN Movies posted a look at a brand-new U.K. trailer for the film, and let's just say it gives us everything that was missing from the teaser. We've broken down the five key scenes from the trailer so you'll know why Tintin should be on your radar this fall.

If Taylor Kitsch is to be believed, it looks like the ship has sailed on his time with Gambit.

When MTV News caught up with Kitsch while he was promoting his latest action flick, "John Carter," he didn't seem too optimistic about Gambit, his "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" character, making a cameo in Hugh Jackman's big screen follow-up, "The Wolverine." That being said, he didn't seem too broken up about it either.

"That's up to Hugh, if he wanted it. We'll see. I don't think I'm in it, I haven't heard anything," Kitsch said. "I got my plate full, man. I'm pretty happy where I'm at."
