Now that everyone's had time to digest the "Avengers" trailer from two weeks ago, (if you haven't, do so now!) MTV News asked Tom Hiddleston, who plays the villain set to face off against Earth's Mightiest Heroes, to talk about his role in the trailer and just how Loki gets to Earth this time around.
One of the biggest scenes from the trailer is arguably a threatening shot of Loki in some sort of portal as military personnel close in. Hiddleston confirmed that this scene is Loki's big arrival to Earth for "The Avengers." Hiddleston comments that, "He's landed."

The Iraq War is almost over, but it's just heating up on the paneled page… and, it seems, on the big screen: "War Heroes," the six-issue Image Comics limited series from writer Mark Millar ("Kick Ass," "Wanted") and artist Tony Harris ("Ex Machina," "Starman"), is looking to invade a theater near you.

"The Walking Dead," now two episodes deep into its second season, is pulling very few punches. As of the season's second episode, "Bloodletting," Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) remains in critical condition following a hunting accident, poor Sophia (Madison Lintz) is still missing in action, and now one of the survivors' greatest assets — Shane Walsh (Jon Bernthal) — is caught in the jaws of a grave situation.
Bad news for our heroes, yes, but great news for us: so far, "The Walking Dead" is at the top of its game with this new season. Highlights from this week's episode past the jump!

Alas, it was just too cool to be true: "The Avengers" did not get its iPhone on.
Late last week, a report surfaced that director of photography Seamus McGarvey had used Apple's mobile device to shoot certain portions of "The Avengers," the Marvel Studios superhero team-up flick set to assemble on May 4, 2012. The "Avengers" trailer even featured some of these scenes, allegedly. Sadly, McGarvey is now speaking out to say that these reports aren't true, and that he didn't utilize an iPhone in shooting "The Avengers."

Mark Millar fans, get ready to kick some ass again.
It's been announced that "X-Men: First Class" director Matthew Vaughn, who directed the adaptation of Millar's "Kick-Ass" in 2010, has secured the film rights to two more Millarverse titles: "Superior," the Scottish writer's superhero tale illustrated by "Secret Invasion" artist Leinil Yu, and "The Secret Service," a newly announced comic book co-created by "Watchmen" legend Dave Gibbons.

And then there was the time that Rhys Ifans broke out his Lizard voice.
Alright, let's back up and give you some context. The "Amazing Spider-Man" villain swung by MTV News earlier today (October 21) to chat about "Anonymous," his upcoming Shakespeare thriller directed by Roland Emmerich. While he was here, we got to talking about his work as Doctor Curt Connors, better known as the reptilian nemesis the Lizard.
By all accounts, Ifans' portrayal of the popular Spider-Man villain has been a complex one to pull off: the actor is wearing an, ah, unusual getup that's presumably getting a CGI makeover in time for the "Amazing" debut next summer. But Ifans has also said that the physicality of the monstrous character is his own, that you'll see his eyes and soak in his emotions… and now, after chatting with the erstwhile supervillain, we also know firsthand that the Lizard will have Ifans' voice.

"The Avengers” may be the most ambitious Marvel movie of all time, but that doesn’t mean its seasoned engineers looked past the creative use of tools accessible to most laypeople.
Seamus McGarvey, director of photography for Marvel Studios and “Avengers” cinematographer, just revealed in an interview with the Irish Film & Television Network that he used an iPhone to film some scenes for the blockbuster team-up, and we’ve already seen at least one in the trailer.

Tony Stark might be ahead of the pack when it comes to owning a veritable vault filled with superhero costumes, but his "Avengers" ally Steve Rogers is no slouch in that department either. In "Captain America: The First Avenger," the star-spangled superhero appeared in multiple different iterations of his iconic red white and blues, from a hokey version of the classic Cap costume to the considerably more souped-up Howard Stark design.
It's all the more impressive that Cap has so many different uniforms when you look at the fact that his Marvel debut took place in the 1940s — he doesn't exactly have access to the modern tools at Stark's fingertips. You can chalk that up to the extraordinary eye-popping efforts of the "First Avenger" costume department, who show off their work and the reasoning behind each of Cap's different suits in this exclusive behind-the-scenes clip from the "Captain America" Blu-ray and DVD, in stores on October 25. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments section and on Twitter!

What would a collaboration between zombie king George Romero and AMC's "The Walking Dead" have looked like? We will never know. According to the "Night of the Living Dead" director, Frank Darabont and the folks behind "The Walking Dead" came to him before the first season to ask him to direct a few episodes of the show, but he declined.

"X-Men Anime" debuts on G4 tonight (October 21) at 11 PM ET, starring the voice of "Friday Night Lights" actor Scott Porter as Cyclops. When the series premieres, viewers will find the X-Men field leader at his lowest of lows: his wife, Jean Grey, has died following the events of the "Dark Phoenix Saga," and poor Scott is questioning his reasons for continuing on. But when an international incident arises with the potential to finally bridge mutants and humans together or fully tear them apart, Cyclops has to look in the mirror and realize the kind of man he wants to be.
Ahead of the series premiere, MTV News spoke with Porter, a longtime comic book reader, about "X-Men Anime," his views on Cyclops, his thoughts on what makes the perfect X-Men roster and much more.
