FROM MTV MOVIES BLOG: If you like superheroes as much as we do, it's safe to assume that you also feel that there can never be too many movies made that feature folks with super powers. We have a while to wait for more action from more familiar heroes like "The Avengers" and "X-Men," but Fox is helping to fill our superhero void with their new movie "Chronicle," which is about three normal teenage boys who develop extra special abilities after being exposed to a mysterious substance in the woods.

We are happy to say that we have an exclusive look at the first trailer of the film, which was written by Max Landis (son of John Landis) and directed by Josh Trank ("Big Fan"). The cast includes Michael B. Jordan, Alex Russell and Dane DeHaan.

Russell Crowe let some details slip on the highly-protected plot from the big Superman reboot, "Man of Steel," last night on Twitter, and even answered a fan question. The big news? Jor-El is getting his hands bloody!

It has to be fun to play a comic book hero in a movie. Neal McDonough tends to agree. We recently spoke with McDonough about his role as Dum Dum Dugan in "Captain America: The First Avenger," and he told us he enjoyed it so much that he wants to do it again.

"I can't wait to do 'Cap 2,'" McDonough says.

This is some of the first concrete talk about a cast for "Captain America 2," which is currently being written by the first movie's scribes, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The two have talked conceptually about the script and whether the next film would be in the past or present, but no official word has been given.

In The DustWith Edward and Bella of "Twilight" fame dominating the vampire region of our pop cultural landscape, it's easy to forget that the other half of the well-tread craze has traditionally been occupied by older, less angsty and not so sparkly bloodsuckers.

Joining those gnarly beasts will be the vampires of "In the Dust," a Top Cow graphic novel created by George Mahaffey and Christian Duce.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story’s ripe and juicy rights have just been preemptively plucked by production company Solipsist Films. The graphic novel is not yet published nor solicited for release.

Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye — when it comes to the roster of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, we've got that well and covered by now. But what we don't have quite as clear a sense of is who our heroes will be facing when "The Avengers" assembles in May 2012.

Tom Hiddleston is certainly back in business as the mischievous trickster god Loki, but the Asgardian antagonist is not at it alone. Rumors have been swirling about the identity of Loki's allies since well before shooting on "The Avengers" even began, with the most popular theory centering on the shape-shifting Skrulls. But still, with multiple convention appearances and its first official trailer under its belt, the "Avengers" bad guys remain unrevealed… and Hiddleston isn't going to blow their cover.

"Where are the snipers? Which window are they aiming at?" he joked when MTV News asked him when we'll find out who's fighting on Loki's side in "The Avengers." Though he wouldn't identify his supervillain friends by name, Hiddleston did say that whoever Loki's allies are will surely please longtime Marvel Comics readers. Looks like whoever that threat is — Skrull, Thanos or something else entirely — it's a familiar one.

Alfred

UPDATE: I reached out to an "Arkham City" representative, and unfortunately for us Yanks, it looks like the contest for the Xbox 360 is only available to European residents. No reason why you still can't use him as a search engine, though.

ORIGINAL STORY: Video game studios and their public relations teams come up with some weird stuff to spread the word about their new releases. A couple of years ago, for instance, a fake severed hand and bribery checks – seriously – were sent out to game journalists to promote "Dante's Inferno." While I haven't received any severed Penguin hands in regards to "Batman: Arkham City," the crew over Warner Bros. did something a bit odd today.

Right now, if you direct your browser over to alfredatyoursevice.co.uk, you'll see a familiar face behind your usual web browsing. Venerable Wayne family butler and Batman confidant Alfred Pennyworth stands behind your search bar, just waiting at your beck and call to track down whatever weird crap you're searching for on the internet.

The Dark Knight Rises

The folks currently occupying Wall Street could be getting more press than they planned for when production of "The Dark Knight Rises" heads into New York City later this month.

According to The Los Angeles Times, director Christopher Nolan could be planning on using the protests going on in Zuccotti Park and Midtown Manhattan as a backdrop for his final installment of his Batman saga. Actors have been prepped to potentially be filming with protestors during their two-week shoot, which starts on October 29.

As we saw in the most recent Marvel One-Shot, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer," Agent Coulson (played by Clark Gregg) has had some moves he's been hiding. With the great superhero meet-up that will be "The Avengers" imminent and promises of Nick Fury finally getting some action, you have to wonder when Coulson's going to get his big break out.

We asked Gregg at New York Comic-Con what we would see from Agent Coulson in "The Avengers" after spending so many films on the sideline, but he wasn't so keen to talk. Apparently, his life depends on keeping secrets.

"There is so little I can say without either Marvel or Nick Fury choking me to death in my sleep," Gregg said.
