Dark Knight

Chris Nolan and Tom Hardy spilled the beans on "The Dark Knight Rises" earlier this week, but they're not the only ones talking. Star Christian Bale is speaking out as well about his final appearance as Gotham City's silent protector.

Bale told Ace Showbiz this week that in "Rises," we'll see Batman dealing with his inner pain in ways we've yet to see from the character.

"How long will you let the pain and loss define your life? Walking around chasing bad guys is very heroic and attracts attention, but at the end it all accounts for, as a means to deal with the pain of a huge loss," he said of how Bruce has dealt with the death of his parents.

Listen Chloe Moretz, we need to talk. The game is up, and we want a straight answer.

For about a month now, you've been dropping hints, winking and teasing about some "Kick-Ass 2" news. At the Scream Awards, you said something big was coming soon. But then nothing.

Now, during the junket for "Hugo," when MTV News' Josh Horowitz asked whether the sequel to the 2010 superhero flick was going to happen, you got real quiet.

Gary Oldman is so afraid of spilling any small detail about "The Dark Knight Rises" that he literally had a staring contest with MTV News' Josh Horowitz to avoid having to answer a question about it.

After an awkward silence and subsequent laughter, Oldman clarified that not only can he not talk about the film and whether it will have an "exclamation point" ending to Christopher Nolan's beloved trilogy, but also that no one should read into his silence. He said that it's the studio's film that they're paying money for, and it's not up to him to spoil the ending.

That being said, it's a Christopher Nolan film, of course it's going to have a good ending. Oldman did go on to share some vague details about the end of the franchise, and also toss a little tidbit our way about the rumors he's joining "Akira."

The last we heard, Colin Firth had been approached to play Adrian, the villain in Spike Lee's upcoming "Oldboy" adaptation.

When MTV News sat down with the Academy Award-winning actor for his new film, "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy," Firth remained more or less mum about potentially taking part in the revenge thriller.

"I've heard the rumors, as you have," Firth said. "I'm thinking about it, yeah."

Spider-ManRecent “Amazing Spider-Man” reshoots have yielded a surprising crop of new stills from the Manhattan-based movie, and they may be some of the most revealing yet.

The shots, collected by photo database Newscom as well as Daily Mail, were spread across a few surprisingly plot-significant scenes, and feature images likely to be memorable take-aways from the film.

There are candid “off time” snaps of stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone strolling hand in hand, more of Garfield as Peter Parker walking slickly through NYC streets, and a few of Garfield with a tissue up his nose (who hasn’t done that?), but those aren't the ones we find most interesting.
