The "Dark Knight Rises" prologue bows on December 16, but a lucky few have already seen the highly anticipated six-minute sequence from Christopher Nolan's last Batman movie. MTV News staff writer Kara Warner was on hand, for instance. (She is now my mortal nemesis, by the way, but that's neither here nor there!)
But it wasn't just select journalists who got to see the "Dark Knight" prologue a little bit early. A special Los Angeles screening was apparently held for some of Hollywood's elite, based on late-night and early-morning Twitter activity from directors like Jon Favreau and Edgar Wright. See what they thought of the "Dark Knight Rises" footage in today's special edition of the Twitter Report.
@EdgarWright Am I allowed to say I saw 6 minutes of 'Dark Knight Rises' on IMAX?
-Edgar Wright, director ("Scott Pilgrim vs. The World," "Hot Fuzz")
@ManMadeMoon Edgar already spilled the beans, so I guess it IS ok.. or at least I can blame him. Saw a nice little chunk of The Dark Knight Rises
-Duncan Jones, director ("Moon," "Source Code")
@EdgarWright Worth noting. The most anticpated film of 2012 is shot on celluloid. So when it says 'A Film By Christopher Nolan', it really is film.
@ManMadeMoon @edgarwright Film! ...and not a pair of 3D silly-specs to be seen! Except the ones Michael Bay was wearing. But he wears them everywhere.
@EdgarWright P.S. It was amazing.
@eliroth I just saw the most incredible #DarkNightRises footage in IMAX. Mind blown.
-Eli Roth, director ("Hostel," "Hostel: Part II")
@Jon_Favreau Do what you can to see the IMAX film version of the Batman preview when it comes out on MI4. Trust me. #nolan #hardy
-Jon Favreau, director ("Iron Man," "Cowboys & Aliens")
