Had enough superhero movie-related news for the week yet? No? Good, because we've got one more for you before we head into the weekend. It looks like the folks over at Superhero Hype have gotten their hands on the first poster for Sony's upcoming, anticipated blockbuster, "The Amazing Spider-Man."

Contrary to the first teaser poster, which was unveiled over the summer at San Diego Comic-Con, this one features a full-length Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) perched on or descending down a stone wall. The strategic and sparse lighting is such that where Parker's two hands and feet are making contact with the wall, they cast long dark shadows beneath them, which form the perfect outline of a spider. It is super cool and only slightly creepy, which is a creative success for Sony in my mind. Curiously enough there is no titling on the poster, just the tagline "The Untold Story" at the bottom along with the July 3, 2012 release date.

Batman

An age-old tradition exists within the realm of licensed games: take an already established franchise, adapt that into a movie, then adapt that movie into a game. The "matryoshka doll effect" of an adaptation within an adaptation often leads to less-than-stellar results; the developers are essentially attempting to emulate a copy of a copy.

The adaptation problem rings ever true in the realm of comic-book titles, as so many licensed games are really just timely movie tie-ins. Warner Bros.' Montreal studio are hoping to change all that, though, taking the lessons learned from "Batman: Arkham City" and applying that mindset to their upcoming DC superhero titles.

Sad news from the city of Gotham. Both Warner Bros. and the Screen Actors Guild have confirmed that an unidentified male extra died of natural causes while working as a background actor last month on the New York City set of "The Dark Knight Rises."

“Iron Man 2" was entertaining, but it lacked the tightness of the first film. Mickey Rourke’s Ivan Vanko was sort of shuffled around, the Avengers elements felt a little rushed, and if you forgot, Tony Stark actually invented a new element in the middle of things. Just like that, a new element! Well, whatever, it happens when you’re rushing to capitalize on box office and critical success.

But according to Robert Downey Jr., the script for “Iron Man 3" is all killer and no filler.

"'Iron Man 3' is probably the best script I've read in five years, which is so funny," he said in an interview with Extra, via Comic Book Movie. “I mean, things have come so full circle that a genre superhero movie can actually be the most artistic bit of writing I read."

Batman

The "Dark Knight Rises" prologue bows on December 16, but a lucky few have already seen the highly anticipated six-minute sequence from Christopher Nolan's last Batman movie. MTV News staff writer Kara Warner was on hand, for instance. (She is now my mortal nemesis, by the way, but that's neither here nor there!)

But it wasn't just select journalists who got to see the "Dark Knight" prologue a little bit early. A special Los Angeles screening was apparently held for some of Hollywood's elite, based on late-night and early-morning Twitter activity from directors like Jon Favreau and Edgar Wright. See what they thought of the "Dark Knight Rises" footage in today's special edition of the Twitter Report.

Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can—and "whatever a spider can" apparently includes hanging out on top of street lampposts in the middle of a beautiful day!

Reshoots on "The Amazing Spider-Man" were recently underway in New York City, and now, Los Angeles is once again the site to double as the wall-crawler's Big Apple. Actor Andrew Garfield has been in LA this week for some additional "Spider-Man" shoots, with photos popping up online—right here on Splash Page, above you in fact!—of the friendly neighborhood webhead swinging around on a wire.
