With six months to go until your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man gets a reboot, we've had only a teaser trailer, a poster and a few stills to keep anticipation high until July. Not much to go off of, and now Sony has released two more photos that may or may not get your webs spinning.
In the first photo, we see Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker out on the streets of New York, repping a band you may have heard of. Underneath his jacket, he wears a Ramones t-shirt prominently. Maybe we're getting a hint at what to expect from this new take on Peter Parker. Andrew Garfield's is more into classic rock, while Tobey Maguire preferred creepy dancing and James Brown.
The other picture offers a look at Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy similar to snapshots we've seen before. She clutches an umbrella at an event that appears to be a funeral.
This is all fairly standard stuff for "The Amazing Spider-Man." Most of the promotional material have centered around these two in street clothes and have decidedly stayed away from anything overtly superhero-y.
What we haven't seen is any look at the Lizard outside of the leaked merchandise photos. On top of that, most of the photos coming from the set haven't shown that much of Garfield in his full-on Spidey costume. A new trailer is expected to be released soon, so maybe we're being kept in the dark until we get closer to the actual release date.
"The Amazing Spider-Man" hits theaters on July 3.
