Now there's a bigger draw to attending an IMAX screening of "The Avengers" at 12:01 a.m. on May 4 than just being one of the first people to see the film on the big(ger) screen.
IMAX has unveiled their limited edition "Avengers" midnight release poster that will only be given out to screening attendees. The company's exclusive one-sheet teases the epic Manhattan-based battle that we've seen so much of in recent trailers and clips.
The poster touts itself as being the "12:01 exclusive," so you can one day use that to brag to your grandkids how you went to a midnight screening of "The Avengers" opening night.
This isn't the only "Avengers"-themed poster we've seen rolled out over the past week, though it is the only one officially commissioned by IMAX. Mondo has also unveiled some posters for the Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow, and they all look freakin' awesome.
If you're based out of Los Angeles, you also have a chance to see some "Avengers"-inspired art in person. Gallery 1988 is holding an "Avengers" art show that will take place during the movie's opening weekend. Some of the art has already been released online, and it looks freaking awesome, so if you're free it's definitely worth checking out.
Directed by Joss Whedon, "The Avengers" stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Clark Gregg, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders and Tom Hiddleston. It's due in theaters on May 4.
