When director Josh Trank needed to convince studio heads that his crazy idea, a found footage superhero flick, could conceivably work, he created a test reel to put his money where his mouth is.
That effects test is included in the newly released Blu-ray and DVD for "Chronicle," but we have an exclusive commentary from Trank himself about the making of the footage.
As you can see, the test footage closely resembles the same effects that showed up in the final film, so it undoubtedly gave the studio a good idea of what to expect from Trank and company.
