Agent J and Agent K are back on the big-screen this weekend for a third round of alien ass-kicking action, but the return of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones (and the debut of Josh Brolin as a younger K) aren't the only reasons to check out the new "Men in Black" flick: if you're more of the web-slinging type, you'll want to hit the theater as well.
The "Amazing Spider-Man" Facebook page has announced that an exclusive six-minute sneak peek of the upcoming reboot will be attached to IMAX 3-D showings of "Men in Black 3" starting Thursday at midnight. The exact details of the preview are under wraps, but regardless of what's shown, it's your first chance to check out extended footage from the Marvel flick before it hits theaters in early July.
Of course, the last time we heard about an extended "Spider-Man" sneak peek, it turned out to be the same trailer we've already seen with the addition of a minute-long action sequence at the beginning of the footage. There are two extra minutes on the IMAX sneak peek, so here's hoping for a bit more footage with this new look.
The plot synopsis for "Amazing Spider-Man" is as follows:
Like most teenagers his age, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. In his journey to put the pieces of his past together he uncovers a secret his father held…a secret that will ultimately shape his destiny as Spider-Man. This is the first in a series of movies that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story. On July 3rd, 2012, the untold story begins.
