A free-to-play browser game called "The Fire Rises" has launched today, casting players as henchman on the hunt for their own slice of Gotham glory. The real-time strategy game sees players recruiting their own hoodlums, securing new territories across the Caped Crusader's home turf, and engaging in other assorted forms of anarchy — all of which must be accomplished before Gotham's finest come calling to break up the party.
Upon entering the official "The Fire Rises" website, users will find themselves staring at an interactive map of Gotham splitting the city into three sections: uptown, midtown and downtown. Each section has target areas of their own, including the docks uptown and the construction yard in midtown Gotham. You can also see avatars for numerous other global users currently playing the game, as well as link your own gaming experience to your Facebook account.
