Thank goodness, a Talia al Ghul rumor! It's been way too long since we've seen one of those. Everybody knows about Bane and Catwoman, but Talia is one of the other possible spoilers in the "Dark Knight Rises" villain mix. Marion Cotillard insists she's not playing the daughter of the League of Shadows leader, but compelling evidence suggests that Talia has a role to play in "Rises" in some way, shape or form.
Add another rumor to that particular pile, then: IGN got their hands on publicity materials for model and actress India Wadsworth, who has a role in "Rises" that's sure to fan the Talia fires. Some possible spoilers ahead.
According to the publicity materials IGN received, Wadsworth is playing "The Warlord's Daughter." But her official resume says she's playing "Mother." Speculation about her real role in the film ranges from playing Talia herself to Talia's mother. I like the latter possibility more, personally; the death of Ra's' wife was a huge motivator for his vigilantism, and it would be cool to see that in action to further bridge "Rises" to "Batman Begins."
Another cool option is that Wadsworth isn't playing Talia's mother, but Bane's. I'm not sure how much back story we'll get (or how much we'll need) on Bane, but seeing him in his formative years with a warrior woman for a mom could be pretty fun, if a bit far from the source material.
Anyway, the rumors are out there. Who do you think Wadsworth is playing, and how much of a role will she have in the grand Dark Knight finale?
