Bruce Wayne has bad luck with the ladies. Just ask the late Rachel Dawes, who not only died a horrible death at the hands of the Joker, but severed all possibilities for a romantic future with Bruce prior to her death — and he never even knew about it.
One hopes Bruce will have better luck with Miranda Tate, his possible love interest in "The Dark Knight Rises," but, well, there are theories about that. And we know that things are going to be downright turbulent between Gotham's masked defender and a different masked vigilante — Selina Kyle, the thief known as Catwoman.
Thankfully, the dynamic between the actors behind Bruce and Selina, Christian Bale and Anne Hathaway, was far from rocky on the "Rises" set. Hathaway spoke with SFX Magazine about her time working with Bale, and she had nothing but glowing reviews for the Oscar winner.
"He's one of the world's greatest actors and he and Chris do have a shorthand," she said. "They have such an ease working together that it helped me relax, especially in the early days."
"Here I am working with Christian Bale and Chris Nolan is directing me and Wally Pfister is lighting me and I'm in a catsuit," she continued. "It was somewhat overwhelming. I think because Christian had been there for so long, he was just so calm, always quick to laugh and have a good time but at the same time was really serious about work. He set such a great example and it was just really easy to kind of fall in step."
