Sometimes we end up getting information about movies from the most unexpected places. Such is the case with "The Dark Knight Rises," for which a tie-in book called "The Dark Knight Manual: Tools, Weapons, Vehicles and Documents from the Batcave" was recently released.
The texts revealed some spoilers about the technology used in the upcoming film that we've seen teased previously in trailers. Check them out (and a lot more) past the break.
Chief among the reveals: the mysterious device Bane has at his disposal is actually a fusion reactor that Wayne Enterprise created in an attempt to find a clean fuel source for the world. Move over, Tony Stark! The reactor was allegedly kept in a very secure location below Wayne Enterprises, but it seems as though Bane managed to get to it anyway.
You can read more about the fusion reactor over at ComicBookMovie.com. The site also has detailed information on the origin of The Bat flying vehicle Batman uses in this film, as well as the EMP device we see him holding in some of the promotional material.
In the meantime, check out the above TV spot for "The Dark Knight Rises" that has an emphasis on the relationship between Anne Hathaway's Selina Kyle and Christian Bale's Batman. The more we see of Hathaway in this movie, the more excited we are to see her take on Catwoman. She wears the role with confidence, and seems like she pulls off the sexy, capable character with ease.
If you're looking for even more "The Dark Knight Rises" material to keep you occupied in the three weeks until the film hits theaters, go check out the launch of its new official website, TheDarkKnightRises.com. At the moment it mostly just has downloadable stills and wallpapers like the one seen at the top of this article, but we're sure there will be some more fun stuff uploaded before the film hits theaters on July 20.
