No one wants to see a "Spider-Man" reboot, you say? Tell that to the thousands and thousands of fans who helped Peter Parker web up an amazingly impressive $7.5 million midnight opening!
Deadline reports that Marc Webb's "Amazing Spider-Man" roped in that number from midnight showings across slightly more than 3,000 theaters nationwide. The $7.5 million midnight performance is on par with "Spider-Man 3" and others including "Iron Man 2" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest." Not too shabby, bug boy! Looks like your friendly neighborhood wall-crawler is going to have himself a very fruitful Fourth of July!
