Superheroes take on many forms at San Diego Comic Con, from the printed page, to the costumed masses, to the actors who've donned capes and cowls on screens big and small. No SDCC would be complete without these heroes plastic counterparts. Our buddies at MTV Geek sifted through the variety of exclusive figures making their multiple-points-of-articulation-fueled debuts this year and came up with a list of the 10 Best.
Last year was all about Mattel's delicious looking Stay Puft and a Swamp Thing so killer it could even make Alan Moore crack a smile.
So which exclusive figures will be emptying MTV's wallets this year? MTV Geek's list includes a certain winged mutant corrupted by the villainous Apocalypse; a chainsaw wielding hero with a very well defined chin; a certain caped crusader and his most well-known nemesis; a hero in a half shell whose origin story hasn't been tampered with; a military guy who may be prone to yelling "Yo!"; the King of the Monsters and more.
Head over to MTV Geek's post to take a look at all of these beautifully sculpted pieces in their play-ready glory.
