"The Avengers" meets "Bonnie and Clyde." Pretty simple premise and one that's hard to mess up, right? Right. That's the story in the new Marvel One-Shot short film, "Item 47," which comes attached to the "Avengers" Blu-ray hitting shelves this fall.
The masses won't see "Item 47" until its home video release, but the film did screen at Comic-Con over the weekend. I was lucky enough to be in attendance (check out my interview with the short's director, Marvel Studios co-president Louis D'Esposito, over here) and really enjoyed the experience. It's short, sweet, action-packed and very funny. Could use a bit more Agent Coulson (*sniff*) of course, but even though he's gone, his presence hangs heavily over the short.
To give yourself a sense of what "Item 47" is all about, Marvel has released a clip, the very first scene of the movie. Check it out below.
Starring Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Bradford, "Item 47" hits shelves with the "Avengers" Blu-ray on September 25, 2012.
