In the comics, Potts gets her own suit courtesy of Tony Stark (as played on the big screen by Robert Downey Jr.), a defensive armor known as Rescue. And during Marvel's Comic-Con panel this past weekend, Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige expressed a desire to see Potts don the suit at some point in the future.
"Everyone at this table thinks it would be the coolest thing in the world to see Pepper get in the suit at some point," Feige said, as noted by Hero Complex.
Although Jon Favreau won't be taking on director duties for movie three like he did for the previous two, he had his own thoughts on whether Pepper should get her Rescue on.
"We almost did it a few times; we talked about it a lot. I think we all share your enthusiasm for that, and we all want to see Gwyneth kick a little ass," Favreau said.
Potts' suit wasn't the only topic up for discussion at Comic-Con. "Iron Man 3" star Don Cheadle told MTV News at the convention that this latest installment will feature some "suit envy" between his character War Machine and Downey's Iron Man.
Paltrow told MTV News back in 2010 that she'd like to partake in more of the Iron Man action, so we'll have to wait and see if that happens with or without the Rescue suit for this next go-around. In any case, there's plenty of time to speculate as we await the release of "Iron Man 3" on May 3, 2013.
