Those tremors you're feeling? That's the sensation one feels when they learn that Fred Ward has been cast in a new action movie.
The "Tremors" actor (now do you see what I did up there? Boy, is it going to be a long week!) has joined the cast of "2 Guns," the Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington-starring action flick based on the Boom! Studios comic book, reports Variety.
"2 Guns" focuses on a Navy SEAL operative and a DEA agent, both of them undercover and both of them tasked with stealing millions of bucks from the CIA. During their assignment, they learn that they're both being double-crossed by outside forces, and they're forced to go up against deadly enemies who will do whatever they have to to get their hands on the cash.
Washington and Wahlberg are joined by an impressive array of actors including James Marsden, Edward James Olmos, Bill Paxton and Paula Patton. Fred Ward is just the latest familiar face being added to that already excellent list. Details on his role are few and far between, but Variety lists him as playing "a top-ranking U.S. Navy admiral." Sounds like plenty of opportunities for that signature Ward red-faced meltdown I love so dearly.
