Thank you, Entertainment Weekly, for giving us our "Walking Dead" fix.
The focus of this week's edition of the magazine is all "The Walking Dead" all the time. Yesterday we showed you the issue covers that tease Michonne and The Governor, and now a handful of exclusive pictures and character posters have been released to give us better looks at the new characters.
In addition, we get to see a whole lot more of Merle Dixon. Though Merle hasn't been in the series for almost a full season (we loved his appearance in season two's "Chupacabra"), his absence has been felt ever since Rick left him for dead in season one. As we already know, Merle is back in the third season of AMC's hit show, albeit without a certain appendage. In both his character portrait and a shot of him at Woodbury, we get to see his shiny new bayonette arm.

Meanwhile, we can see that Andrea isn't too much of a fan of her new partner in crime, Michonne, despite the fact that EW writes the two will form "a strong bond." It could be because "that bond will quickly be tested," maybe by the fact that Michonne takes Andrea to Woodbury where the blonde survivor meets The Governor.
As for the major villain of season three, he looks like he's having a grand old time in the image of him strolling through Woodbury. Anyone who knows even the slightest bit about the comics should know that his kind façade quickly fades away, but we're guessing we're going to have to wait until the second half of season three for that.
"The Walking Dead" returns on October 14.
