Now that Christopher Nolan's take on the Batman franchise is over and done, it's safe to say that Christian Bale's performance will go down as one of the best in the Batman series. Sorry to Adam West, you're still a close second, but Bale was able to refine the character of the Dark Knight enough to make it completely his own.
The only gripe that most fans had with Bale is the way would drop and change his voice when he was in the Batsuit to disguise himself from those who knew him as Bruce Wayne. The voice change had a certain deep, incoherent mumbling and sounded almost like a certain children's show character.

Yes, after all of the endless parodies that we have seen about Bale's Bat-voice, this one (via Vulture) compares him to all of people—the Sesame Street resident with a giant yen for cookies—the Cookie Monster. The video is the scene at the end of "Batman Begins" with Batman and Lieutenant Gordon on a roof-top, but this Batman really has cookies on the brain. Those escaped criminals from Arkham still roaming the streets, be damned!
