Thor is going places in "Thor: The Dark World." We just don't know where they are yet.
At least we now have a good idea of what they look like, though. SuperHeroHype has posted some new photos from the Bourne Woods set in England. The images are relatively spoiler-free but still offer us a good idea of what we can expect in the upcoming movie. Based on what we can see, the set looks similar to the visual style Kenneth Branagh created in 2011's "Thor."
But what is the land that we're seeing here? Is it supposed to be Svartalfheim, the land that the Dark Elves inhabit? Or is it some other realm that we haven't heard of yet? We know that this movie will travel beyond the boundaries of Earth and Asgard, but aren't quite sure exactly where.
In an interview earlier in August, Tom Hiddleston teased some of what we have in store for "Thor: The Dark World."
“I don't want to give too much away," he said. "But I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed. Alan Taylor's vision of 'Thor 2' is utterly brilliant. The journey continues in the most epic dimension and proportion imaginable. It's very, very exciting.”
The Marvel superhero flick is due in theaters on November 8, 2013. Directed by Alan Taylor, it also stars Chris Hemsworth, Christopher Eccleston, Kat Dennings, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Zachary Levi, Alice Krige, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Idris Elba.
