Michonne and the Governor will no longer be strangers by the time we meet them in the third season of "The Walking Dead."
Another batch of new images from the new season have hit the web teasing the two newest characters to be introduced in AMC's hit zombie apocalypse series. AMC has officially released the photos after they were revealed in Entertainment Weekly, and they reinforce everything we should know about the two characters going in: Michonne is terrifying with her katana, and the Governor is much more than meets the eye.
"I can't give anything away, but I will say that [The Governor is] charming, devious, sexy and unbelievably evil," Laurie Holden (the actress who plays Andrea) told MTV News at Comic-Con. "I think people are going to be knocked out, because he's a wonderful actor, he's fantastic. I can't imagine anyone else playing the Governor."

The images also offer us a better look at the rest of our favorite survivors. Rick and Glenn show off the various ways that they can kill zombies without using a gun in two pictuers, but it looks like the close combat is taking its toll on them. We also see Daryl leading the group through the woods with his crossbow cocked, proving he is ready to keep them as his allies for the time being. This is one of the few group shots we've seen of Rick and company since promotion for the third season of "The Walking Dead" began, and it's nice to see Maggie, Lori, Rick and a slightly more grizzled Hershel together again.
"The Walking Dead" returns on October 14.
