It doesn't matter if you're mortal or god — if you're filming an action movie, you're likely to get some bumps and bruises either way.
Just ask Jaimie Alexander, the actress who plays Lady Sif in the "Thor" franchise. We've seen Sif fighting on horseback, sword in hand, in numerous photos snapped on the "Dark World" set already. And all of her ferocious battling looks to have netted the actress an injury to remember the experience by.
"Today I sustained a pretty horrible injury. I'm lucky I'm not paralyzed," she wrote on Twitter earlier this week. "Thank you (with all of my heart) to those who've looked after me."
Shortly thereafter, Alexander posted a follow-up: "Already in recovery mode and my spirits are high. I'll be back kicking ass as Lady Sif in no time!"
Alexander went on to say that she's already enjoying a "speedy recovery" thanks to medication and "funny nurses" at the hospital she's visited for treatment. Though we don't know the nature of her injury, it sounds like it shook the actress up quite a bit. Thankfully, it also sounds like she's truly on the mend. Here's wishing you well on that speedy recovery, Jaimie!
