A batch of new photos from the set of "The Wolverine have hit the web courtesy of Kinopoisk (via ComicBookMovie.com), and they show that Jackman has trimmed off the excess facial hair and returned to the classic Logan we first met in 2000's "X-Men." In fact, he might have trimmed just a little too close because he's on the border of just looking like plain Hugh Jackman (not that there's anything wrong with that).
In other exciting "The Wolverine" news, ComicBookMovie.com has found a description of a scene that will be featured in the upcoming movie. There's not much context for it, but it makes it clear that the new "X-Men" movie will have lots of energy.
"A couple being pursued on foot as they dodge through traffic in a Japanese city street. They are nearly hit by passing vehicles but manage to keep going. A man runs along roof tops of adjacent buildings above shooting their pursuers with a crossbow. Possible simulated crossbow shooting from a rooftop," the description reads.
According to the official plot synopsis, "The Wolverine" "finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed." It's due in theaters on July 26.
