Armie Hammer, your dreams of playing Batman might finally be coming true.
For the second time in the past few years, Hammer is rumoredly on Warner Bros.'s list of actors that the studio wants to play Batman. It's far from confirmed, but Moviehole is claiming that they've heard reports that Hammer could be up for the role of the caped crusader in WB's upcoming "Justice League" movie.
"Hearing, from a very good source, today that Hammer, who is now a hot commodity after such flicks as 'The Social Network' and 'Mirror Mirror', not to mention his upcoming lead role in 'The Lone Ranger', is 'back on WB’s radar' for the part of Batman," the site writes. "Not for a solo flick, but for the ensemble 'Justice League' movie [again]."
This isn't the first time Hammer has circled the role of Batman. MTV News caught up with Hammer in 2010 and talked to the "The Social Network" actor talked about his brief stint as Batman in "Justice League Mortal." The film got cancelled days before it started shooting, meaning Hammer's time as the Dark Knight was so short he didn't even get a picture of himself in the cape and cowl.
"We had gotten a long way into pre-production," said Hammer about the ill-fated Australia-set production. "We were about to start shooting when the writer's strike happened at the end of 2007, and then the Australian government denied a 40% tax rebate that they thought they were going to have, so a lot of things just when wrong."
