There was Batman and Robin. There was Thelma and Louise. There was Andre 3000 and Big Boi. But it looks like a new dynamic duo is bursting onto the scene. The pair in question: who else but our favorite bestial bad boy Wolverine, and emerging South Korean super star sidekick, PSY? That's right, YouTube surfers and comic book collectors; the universe has granted us a most unique gift, the chance to see X-Men go Gangnam Style.
This was the scene yesterday, as viral video golden boy PSY swopped onto the set of "The Wolverine," a revamped sequel to the 2009 "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." Hugh Jackman is currently filming the reboot in Australia, whilst awaiting his portrayal of Broadway behemoth Jean Valjean in Tom Hooper's "Les Miserable" to hit the big screen in December.
Though we may never know the circumstances that brought these two forces of nature together, there is one thing we can certainly count on from this Gangnam Style- Wolverine pairing: A whole new wave of Gangnam Style parodies on the horizon, more action packed than before and hopefully full of ( super powered) beauties. And that friends, is act of heroism so great, a gift to humanity so sacred, it even trumps Batman's (fake ) death at the end(ish) of "The Dark Knight Rise." Keep up the good work, gentlemen.
