Marvel fans, Iron Man needs your help. Or rather, we need your help so that we can see a new preview for "Iron Man 3."
Walt Disney Pictures has announced that the studio will unveil a new video from the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie if enough fans like the "Iron Man" Facebook page. Each like "charges" up Tony Stark's armor, and when the charge reaches 100 percent, we'll get our new trailer or whatever Disney decides to unveil. Sure, it's sort of a cheap ploy for Facebook likes, but at least Marvel got creative with it!
The charge level is currently at 9 percent, so sounds like we've got a long way to go until the armor reaches 100 percent. Considering "Iron Man" already has well over 10 million Facebook likes, we're not sure how much higher that number is supposed to get. Hopefully the Disney executives who came up with this idea are voting too to help get us over the top.
We wonder if this is intentionally supposed to tie in with the expected release of "Iron Man 3's" trailer on October 23. That's less than a week away, and we bet there are enough Marvel junkies out there who can get this to 100 percent by that point in time.
Directed by Shane Black, "Iron Man 3" stars Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Kingsley. It's due in theaters on May 3, 2013.
