"Arrow" has much in common with Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. Now, it also shares another common trait with the Caped Crusader: a new villain.
Zap2It reports that the tenth episode of The CW's Green Arrow series will feature a character named "Garfield — a firefighter who was horribly burned three years ago, and never recovered from the trauma. Since then, he's been abandoned by his wife and kids, and he's now described as a 'bitter, vengeful shell of a man.'"
Superhero Hype points out that this character is more than likely Garfield Lynns, aka Firefly, an arsonist who believes he can see visions in the fires he starts. Just the latest example of the DC Universe creeping into the world of "Arrow."

Also featured in the episode is "the Starling City Fire Chief [who] is also haunted by Garfield's injury… since he's the one who was forced to leave Garfield behind to burn."
