Although we still have a long while to wait to see “Thor: The Dark World” (just under a year to be exact) it’s never too early to start talking about the possibility of a third Thunder God-centric Marvel movie, right?
The folks over at the Huffington Post UK, recently posed the question to a man in-the-know when they caught up with star Tom Hiddleston to get his thoughts on the likelihood we’ll be seeing Loki in a third Thor movie.
“These kind of films, not to get too heavy about it, all depend on the financial success of the one before,” Hiddleston said. “So we'll have to see.”
Given the recent successes of Marvel’s films, it’s not too far-fetched to assume that “The Dark World” will be just as successful as “Thor.” Especially since HIddleston has high praise for production thus far, as well as new director Alan Taylor.
“Ken [Branagh] established the tone, so we’ve taken the baton and kept running,” he said. “Alan Taylor is fantastic, one of the men responsible for 'Game of Thrones' which is so of that world, a very grounded, gritty, earthy world where warriors and swords and monsters and magic all meet, so his experience of that has given him a fantastic take on the whole world of Thor.”
He continued, “I went to a summer screening of a Marvel short film. Ken came and so did Alan, it was very clear how much mutual respect between them and I thought, ‘ok, it’s going to be fine.’”
