If you can't wait for the "Justice League" movie so you can get your Martian Manhunter and Aquaman fixes, then there's a rumor floating around today that's bound to disappoint you.
Latino Review's El Mayimbe reports that Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment's planned "Justice League" adaptation will only feature five core superheroes: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and the Flash. That leaves Arthur Curry and J'onn J'onzz, two of the other most prominent "JL" members as far as the comics are concerned, on the bench — though it's believed that they could still make the movie in cameo appearances.
As always, consider this one a rumor until proven otherwise, as has been the case with all things "Justice League." But it makes sense to keep the movie focused on the Big Five — without the added advantage of the Marvel Studios strategy in place (as in, few to no individual films leading up to the big team-up event), "Justice League" has only one shot to introduce its heroes to the viewer. It's an easier feat to accomplish with five heroes than seven — even if it would be incredibly cool to see Martian Manhunter make his way to the big-screen.
