Everyone knows what Superman looks like. And recent trailer footage has revealed Michael Shannon's take on General Zod. But what of Zod's co-conspirator in the upcoming "Man of Steel," the Kryptonian warrior Faora? Well, here she is!
MTV Geek has an exclusive first look at the Faora action figure from Mattel's "Man of Steel" Movie Masters line. We already know that the first wave of toys includes Superman, Zod and Jor-El. For Faora to clock in as the fourth figure in the line, that must mean the Kryptonian villain plays a pretty key role in "Man of Steel."
We've had our eye on Faora for quite some time now. The Zod Squad was always bound to play a major role in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot, but Faora in particular struck us as a player to watch. In the most recent "Man of Steel" trailer, we see a city in ruins with a mysterious woman taking in all of the carnage. Here's that shot, in case you missed it:
Our gut tells us this is none other than Faora, watching as either Metropolis or Krypton crumbles right before her very eyes. Some have theorized that it's Faora, and not Zod, that proves to be the ultimate threat to Superman and everything he stands for. The inclusion of the character as the fourth action figure in Mattel's "Man of Steel" lineup only strengthens those theories, in our opinion.
No matter the size of her role in "Man of Steel," we can all agree on this much: Faora is bad news. We'll just have to wait and see how bad she really is.
