Despite director Bryan Singer's constant hedging, it seems like Halle Berry will indeed be reprising her role as Storm in the upcoming "X-Men: Days of Future Past." Her return has been rumored for months, and now she allegedly has confirmed that she'll be back for the movie.
Shadow and Act recently spoke to Berry and posted a tease of its interview with the actress. The site writes, "She did confirm to me that she would be returning in the role. Most likely. Practically 90% sure. And she nodded a lot too." That's very far from an official confirmation, but it does seem to align with what we've heard from Singer recently.
MTV News spoke to the "Jack the Giant Slayer" director back in February and he said that Berry wasn't a done deal at that point in time. "I can't say. I don't know yet. And it's not necessarily a deal making aspect at all," he said. "I want to make sure it'll make sense. But I love working with her."
It seems like Singer might have found that reason for her return, as he recently told UK's E! News that it "depends on how it works out. I loved working with Halle, so all I can say is we’ll see what happens."
Singer has been very open about which actors are returning for "Days of Future Past," so the only reason we can think of for all of his hedging is that a contract hasn't been signed. Hopefully that will happen soon, as we would love to see Berry standing alongside Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin and Shawn Ashmore in the upcoming movie. "X-Men: Days of Future Past" is due out on July 17, 2014.
