"The Sixth Gun" pilot has found its widow Missy Hume in Elena Satine. The role marks Satine's first lead role in a TV series, after guest spots on "NCIS" and "Smallville," where the actress played Aquaman's wife Mera. Satine will star alongside Michiel Huisman and Laura Ramsey in the NBC pilot.
"The Sixth Gun" takes place shortly after the Civil War as the lead character, Huisman's Drake Sinclair, searches for six mysterious, mythical guns possessed of otherwordly power. Deadline provides a pretty clear overview of Missy Hume, calling her "a powerful Madame who runs the town of Brimstone kept unnaturally youthful by being in possession of the Fifth Gun. A cold stunningly beautiful woman of great cunning, she is unafraid to use whatever means to collect all Six Guns for her own dark purposes." So get ready to see Satine take a walk on the dark side.
The pilot comes from producer Carlton Cuse, whose work can currently be seen on the A&E series "Bates Motel." Of course, his name is also synonymous with a little show called "Lost," which proves he has experience handling the large cast and complex mythology of "The Sixth Gun."
Satine rounds out the cast, which also includes the aforementioned Huisman and Ramsey, as well as W. Earl Brown as General Hume, Graham McTavish as Silas Hedgepeth, Aldis Hodge as Agent Mercer, Pedro Pascal as Special Agent Ortega, James LeGros as Bill John O'Henry, and Chin Han as Chow.
