Two of Fox's Marvel franchises have been churning out buzzworthy news items for a while now, but the "Fantastic Four" reboot has yet to receive as much attention as "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and "The Wolverine." Of course, "Fantastic Four" isn't slated for release until 2015, so that's understandable. But hot on the heels of being cast in the next "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" film, it's now rumored that Noel Fisher has another reboot on the horizon.
Deadline broke the news of Fisher being cast as Michaelangelo, but how does Fisher factor into the FF? Former Variety staffer Jeff Sneider tweeted after the "TMNT" news broke that the nunchuk-twirlin' turtle isn't the only role in Fisher's future.
There goes the Noel Fisher scoop I've been holding for 2 weeks. It's NOT the only big role he's being eyed FOUR..

Sure that's pretty vague, but the Fantastic Four has to be the most prominent media property with that number in its name. And unless they're going for a remarkably younger Reed Richards or a light-hearted Thing, it's pretty obvious that Fisher is being eyed for the role of Johnny Storm, the Human Torch. The role was initially played by Chris Evans, who later disappeared from making superhero films altogether (Just. Kidding.).
Fisher is most known for his regular roles on the TV series "Shameless" and "The Riches." Comic book fans might even recognize him as the voice of Toad in the "X-Men: Evolution" cartoon. He also appeared in one of the "Twilight Saga" movies ("Breaking Dawn - Part 2"), alongside seemingly every other actor under the age of 30.
While this is still just a rumor, we should expect to hear more about Josh Trank's "Fantastic Four" as the months progress.
UPDATE: The tweet in question has since been taken down, which makes this rumor even more interesting...
