It might be officially time to sing Lucas Till's "X-Men" swan song. The "X-Men: First Class" actor claims he still hasn't been asked back for "X-Men: Days of Future Past," and considering the movie starts shooting in Canada in three days, it seems unlikely that he'll be coming back at all.
When ShockTillYouDrop asked Till straight out if Havoc will be returning in "Days of Future Past," he said, "You know what? I wish I could tell you, but unfortunately I still can’t give you an answer." Though that seems like it gives a pretty clear answer about Havoc's status, there always is a chance director Bryan Singer could bring Till to set later on in the shoot.
Till would join the increasing list of "First Class" actors who aren't coming back, including January Jones and Caleb Landry Jones. "First Class" stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult are coming back, as are former "X-Men" actors like Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore. "Days of Future Past" also features newcomers Peter Dinklage and Omar Sy.
As for Till's involvement in "First Class," he said it was a dream come true.
"People have really seen the movie, by now, and they are coming up to me and telling me that I did a good job. I think that is kind of the last piece of fulfillment," he said. "I’m hyper competitive. I wanted that job more than anything. I ended up getting it and took it really seriously. When I watch these movies, I want people to do the character justice, and a lot of times, they don’t. I didn't even try to determine if I had done a good job, but it's super surreal to have people come up to me and tell me that I did do a good job. It’s really nice and super surreal."
"X-Men: Days of Future Past" is due in theaters on July 18, 2014.
