USA Today has delivered a gift from the gods! From on high comes two new set photos from "Thor: The Dark World" as well as a revealing interview with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and actor Chris Hemsworth. The images come hot on the heels of the film's first teaser poster, which was unveiled on Friday. As every day pulls us closer to the November release date, we'll be getting more and more Thor.
The pair of images show off Thor's dual nature. On the one hand, he's smiling next to Jane Foster, who he's just brought to Asgard. The other hand, as it turns out, is holding Mjolnir and ready for battle. Check out the two images below.
The article mentions that Thor has a bit of explaining to do after being on Earth in "Marvel's the Avengers" and not giving Jane Foster a call, or even a polite text. I mean, he was in the neighborhood (neighborhood meaning this dimension as opposed to Asgard).
"Thor still has lot of explaining to do, and a lot of making up," Hemsworth tells USA Today. "Even demigods end up in the doghouse, mate. So none of us is safe."
I guess not even explaining that he did check up on her while on the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier will help? Ouch.
Despite them being on rocky terms, Jane Foster gets to visit Asgard in the film. "So while Thor was a fish out of water on Earth in the first two films ("Thor" and "Marvel's the Avengers"), this time Jane is very much a fish out of water in Asgard," says Feige. Here's hoping she doesn't go all "Meet the Parents" on Odin. As intimidating as Robert DeNiro was, come on, Odin is a god.
