Happy Tuesday, and welcome to your daily dose of superhero movie spoilers. The latest batch comes courtesy of JoBlo, who might have found out who the villain in "Guardians of the Galaxy" is and answered a common question about Paul Giamatti's role in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2."
As the folks over at JoBlo are quick to say, neither of these two scoops are confirmed by the people at Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. Still, they do open up glimpses at what the folks behind the two projects could be planning. If you're looking to be spoiled, check out the news after the jump. Ready? Are you sure? Okay.
First up, JoBlo's source claims that the central villain in "Guardians of the Galaxy" will be Ronan the Accuser, the ruler of the Kree race of aliens. The site speculates that this could potentially lead up to an adaptation of the famous 'Kree-Skrull War' storyline in "The Avengers 2." It's unclear if the villain role that Lee Pace was cast for will be that of the Accuser, but the source says "if he's playing the lead, then he's playing Ronan."
Meanwhile the source also says that fans will get to see Paul Giamatti's Aleksei Sytsevich transform into the Rhino during "The Amazing Spider-Man 2." "How the costume will look is still up in the air, but there will be some variation of a metamorphasised Sytsevich at some point during the film," the site writes.
Again, neither of these scoops are confirmed, but they would make sense in the realms of both movies. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" hits theaters on May 2, 2014, while "Guardians of the Galaxy" comes out on August 1, 2014.
