What can I possibly write about this "Man of Steel" trailer that you can't get just from skipping ahead and watching it right now? Could I write about how gorgeous every shot is? How it hints at an intense feud between Jor-El and General Zod? How Hans Zimmer has created a score that could go down in history as one of the greatest superhero scores of all time? That it sets up stakes that are impossibly large and can only be met head-on by a man that is so believably relatable and grounded? How it makes this seem like the biggest, most important film event since "Avengers"? That it basically sums up everything we've come to love about superhero films in one mostly dialogue-less montage? How it could be used for decades to come as the example of how to make a perfect trailer? That it still has that creepy shot of Superman drowning in skulls?
All of this is conveyed in this trailer. Just watch it. Right now.
June 14th, you know where I'll be.
