Put the emphasis on "tease," as that's all the photo really is: a quick look at a residence with a mailbox belonging to "Maximoff." No sighting of Evan Peters in costume as Pietro, unfortunately, but it lets fans know loud and clear that the character is very much a part of Singer's "X-Men" plans.

Singer started a storm several weeks ago when he announced Quicksilver was joining his ever-expanding "X-Men" roster, even though "Avengers" director Joss Whedon already stated his intentions to use the character in his upcoming sequel. The Quicksilver rights are complicated, because he belongs in both the "Avengers" and "X-Men" universes — meaning both Marvel Studios and Fox can use the character, albeit with certain limitations.
The ball is in Whedon's court to back down from using Maximoff, as "Avengers 2" has yet to begin shooting. But based on Whedon's recent comments, it doesn't sound like that's happening. Instead, we will live in a world where Quicksilver has two movies — and Wonder Woman still has zero.
