At the pace "Arrow" is growing, there'll be no DC Comics characters left to introduce in seasons 3 and beyond. The website SpoilerTV has a tip that Amanda Waller—the determined head of the government agency known as A.R.G.U.S.—will appear in the second season's sixth episode, reportedly titled "Keep Your Enemies Closer."
The episode summary says that the episode will introduce Waller as a recurring character and agent of A.R.G.U.S. whose first action is sending out a team to kidncap Arrow's partner in crime-fighting, Diggle.
While her appearance is only rumored by SpoilerTV, it doesn't seem like that much of a stretch considering that the A.R.G.U.S. organization has previously been seen in the episode "Home Invasion." Waller's group of reformed criminals, the Suicide Squad, have also been teased for inclusion later in season two, making Waller's involvement seem even more likely.
If this happens, it will be Amanda Waller's third live-action appearance in a DC property. She previously appeared in "Smallville" played by Pam Grier, and Angela Bassett played the character in the "Green Lantern" film. Either one of these actresses would be a welcome addition to the "Arrow" universe, as they both kick-ass. But I also hope that the "Arrow" producers go out on a ledge and actually cast a woman of Amanda Waller's original full-figured body type, instead of one that resembles her controversial New 52 makeover.
