Well, that was (wait for it) fast.
Just days after a group of actors were revealed to be in the running for The CW's new "Flash" series, comes word of finalized casting: Grant Gustin is officially the fastest man alive.
The "Glee" actor has landed the part of Barry Allen in the second season of "Arrow," with three guest-appearances paving the way for a potential spinoff series all about the scarlet speedster. In "Arrow," Allen is a Central City forensic investigator who comes to Starling City to look into mysterious robberies with connections to his own turbulent past.
On landing the role, Gustin told The Hollywood Reporter: "I'm unbelievably excited. I've been a lifelong fan of DC Comics, so I can't be more honored and can't wait to get started."
Gustin as the Flash is set to appear in episodes eight, nine and 20 of the coming "Arrow" season.
